Which brings up another oddity that I believe to a bug.  If I do
something like

  mplayer -vf eq=:100 movie.avi

contrast is increased, however

  mplayer -vf eq2=:-1.0: movie.avi

just seems to fall back to default values for all parameters instead
of only the missing ones.

  mplayer -vf eq2=0.0:-1.0: movie.avi

gives the desired result.
