I find it useful if you're watching something while working and
therefore want to resize the window now and then.  And it makes
behaviour of `-vo xv' and `-vo x11 -zoom' consistent.

I like it.

That's a different point.  The patch looks quite harmless, though, but
don't patches always?  ;-)
