Hi,

Below is a small patch for this file agains the 20020530 CVS. I think it
is in the correct form and I was as accurate as I could be. This is
probably useful to mention, and I stumbled upon it over last weekend.
David Holm can probably confirm/correct what I've said, but I think it's
accurate. Basicly the em8300 chokes on subtitles in hardware decoding mode
or if they are too big. The workaround right now is to use -vc mpeg12.

Regards,

Patrick Boyne

it to hardware acceleration with -vc mpegpes. Also, if you plan to use any
postprocessing filters you must use -vc mpeg12.

+In some instances, subtitles may not appear properly in sync with the A/V
+stream when using hardware decoding (-vc mpegpes). This is a known bug. The
+em8300 will also improperly handle subtitles that are too big, and may hang
+for a second or two. At this time, the only workaround is to use -vc mpeg12
+when viewing DVDs with subtitles.
