[MPlayer-dev-eng] input key events not taken properly

	Thanks for the clarification. In that case there is a problem
with the x11 and xv drivers but not sdl. Its described in

Is it bcos the mouse is not being grabbed before mplayer goes into
fullscreen mode ?

Nope, 'f' should work with all x11 drivers with and without gui.
