mp3lib should not be removed, it contains code used by other parts of
mplayer, and even some globals

dunno, we've never tried to remove mp3lib, it's integral - not optional -
part of mplayer

no, afaik its' mp3 only, while mp3lib handles layer 2 too (used in .mpg)
