Hi,

Ok i think we're over the big chunk of patches we got nowdays.
There are some refused ones waiting for correction, and the v4l audio
patch is waiting for al3x to comment/commit.
I hope we didn't lost any patch, if you didn't get any refusing answer
to your patch then please re-send it or tell us the date+subject of the
mail. Unfortunatelly people keep sending patches without [PATCH] in the
subject so it's hard to lookup from thousands of mais.
Maybe it should be added to patches.txt that [PATCH] is VERy VERY important
in teh subject otherwise it'll most probably lost.

If no objection, we plan to release pre7 in the next days, probably at
monday, or maybe earlier. Mayeb reelase tomorrow is a better idea, then you
can work on post-pre7 things at teh weekend. What do you think?

Btw i don't want any big changes after pre7, we should really release the
0.90 stable ASAP without pre8 pre9 and pre99...

We have to decide if do these before or after 0.90 release:

- libmpcodecs -afm/-vfm change, use driver names (like -vfm vfw, vfwex, dshow,
ffmpeg etc) instead of numbers (-vfm 5 etc). Actually it's easy to change,
but have to be done very carefully or needs lots of testing - if you mistype
the driver name somewhere it will fail :(
This change is required for:
- optional dynamic codec/filter loading (vd_<drivername>.so etc)

- optional dynamic ao/vo driver loading? would be very useful for
  package makers.

- demuxer API change - make it modular just like libmpcodecs, instead of
having big switahc(){ case ... } structures. Add a control() function for
future extensions like audio-only seek, get movie length, video eq etc.

They were scheduled after 0.90 but as they are easy to implement, we may do
them for the 0.90 as 1.00 will be at elast 3 years later :)
