Sascha helped me fix my vidix woes..

so i'll repeat the tips to get it working at best speed for you.

rename your mplayer/config , it could be cauing problems with vidix
especially -double or -dr...

try -vf format=yuy2 or -vf format=yv12, watch -double or -dr
and see if they speed up/slow down your playback

(the best way to find which is faster is to use something like this command)
mplayer -vo winvidix -benchmark -frames 100 -nosound file
then try vo directx to see how it compares..
