Hello List,

I posted this question already on the
other mplayer user list and was pointed
here. So if you think you might have
read this somewhere elese ... :)

What I want to do is to launch mplayer
via telnet on my machine because it is
connected to a TV in another room.

I am using M$'s telnet server, and I
already fund the option 'may interact
with desktop'. When mplayer is started
locally on the relevant machine it works
without problems using the yuy2
colorspace.

The problem seems to be that, for
security reasons, mplayer does not get
access to the hardware overlay when
run out of telnet. When I call mplayer
I get the usual satistics output
coutnign frames and audio samples but
there is no video output. The console
tells me that it cannot find the proper
graphics adapter to output.

I know about the (Tight)VNC alternative
but i don't really like it because I'd
have to change the screen resolution and
depth in order to be able to use it.

Thanks for reading and in advance for
any suggestion.
