[MPlayer-cygwin] mplayer uses to much CPU on cygwin

hi,

i've today played an mp3 with mplayer, and i noticed two things:

- if i'm working with some other appz like mozilla, mplayer inerrupts 
the playback because it has not enough CPU.
- with nice --19 mplayer ...
mplayer uses up to 100% CPU which is too much for just playing an mp3.

what may cause this?
i'm using the precompiled mplayer-cvs-2003-03-24.zip from your ftp.
