Yes, because most people i know have all gnu tools prefixed
with g on solaris, which would be ggrep in this case. So,
either we test whether we have the gnu tools for everything
around or we use a more portable version.

And no, i don't think we need gnu tools for anything.
The only portability problem we had was awk and this was
solved after a short discussion.
(ok, i don't mention gcc here, as it is the biggest
problem with MPlayer anyways)
