hmm, this cant be good. thank you for the info.

another sample stream:
rtsp://195.219.160.200/mcp?chid=25&pid=196&vid=2402201&br=800&tid=1&void=2844&muk=H1J4yFr0mJB

this time the http trick does not work.

it reports:
Failed to initiate "audio/X-ASF-PF" RTP subsession: RTP payload format unknown or not supported
Failed to initiate "video/X-ASF-PF" RTP subsession: RTP payload format unknown or not supported
