Could you please try out the updated CVS snapshot I built?  Get it from
here:

http://mplayerhq.hu/~diego/libfaad2_updated.tar.bz2

Just drop this into your CVS checkout of MPlayer replacing the original
libfaad2 directory, do a make distclean and recompile.  Let's see if
this works any better.
