[Mplayer-advusers] denoise3d motion artifacts

Every since denoise3d appeared, I've been using it with great result,
it is really cool! But I've just encountered a small problem: look at
the video I've uploaded to
ftp://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/incoming/denoise3d_bug.avi. When you play
that with denoise3d, as the guy's head moves, it leaves motion traces
on the background. I suspect it happens because the contrast between
the background and the head is small. It is subtle but noticable, but
I understand that it can be very difficult to fix.

In case you need it, here are some details on my system:

I use mplayer-0.90rc5, but I've checked the cvs log and I did not see
any change to denoise3d. I've compiled mplayer with gcc version 3.2.3
20030316 (Debian prerelease), and tested it on kernels
2.4.19-pre10-ac2, 2.4.21-pre4-ac6 and 2.4.20-rc1-ac4 with -vo xv and
nvidia binary drivers and GeForce 4 Ti4200 as well as XFree86 ATI
drivers on a Thinkpad X22 with ATI Radeon Mobility M6, and

GNU assembler 2.13.90.0.14 20021114 Debian GNU/Linux
GNU ld version 2.13.90.0.14 20021114 Debian GNU/Linux
XFree86 Version 4.2.1.1 (Debian 4.2.1-5 20030122074040 buildd at cyberhq.internal.cyberhqz.com) / X Window System
libc-2.3.1.so

And CPU AMD Athlon XP 1900+ as well as Intel Pentium III-M-LV 800MHz

Thanks,

Zoli
