Firstly, I have been using mencoder with great success for many years
and really appreciate the work of the coders. Thank you!

I am using the latest svn mplayer and a very recent (last week) x264, on
64bit linux system. My command line:

mencoder -dvd-device /mnt/tmp dvd://1 -o "movie".avi -aid 128 -nosub -vf
pullup,softskip,crop=720:352:0:62,harddup -ovc x264 -x264encopts
tune=film:crf=21:preset=veryslow:nofast_pskip -oac copy -ofps 24000/1001

This produces duplicate frames every 1/2 a second or so. The result is
jerky and the audio is out of sync. But if I substitute "-oac mp3lame"
for "-oac copy" the result is perfect . . .
