[MEncoder-users] Mencoder not recognizing some MPEGs

Hello:

I am running in to a problem where some videos off of a camcorder are not
being processed by Mencoder properly. The header must be corrupted because
the detected codecs are way off. 

 

By default mPlayer won’t display them, but if I force it to use the mpeg2
demuxer it plays perfectly. Is there a way to force mencoder to use a
specific demuxer when reading the file in before conversion?
