[MEncoder-users] A/V sync issues with separately encoded streams

I find that if I copy the audio along with the transcoded video into an
AVI container, it works, but if I use the -nosound option, whether I put
the video stream into a container or not, it doesn't work. My guess is
that there is delay information in the original DVD title that isn't
stored unless I process both the audio and video. If that is the case,
how do I get MEncoder (or MPlayer) to tell me the delay info (so I can
relay it to MP4Box when I mux the transcoded streams)?
