Hi,

In response to my own question I asked a week earlier:

The problem is that mplayer doesn't detect the input video as a dv video
file. Now I tried to enforce this by adding '-vc libdv' (and it's linked
with libdv obviously), but this doesn't change a thing.

How do I get mencoder to consider the input as dv? Can the autodetection
be overridden?

Alternatively, can I mangle the input file such that mencoder will
autodetect it as dv (e.g. prepend it with some header, or something
similar) ?

Best regards,
Bram
