Hi all:

I was considering to use two-pass encoding to create DVD-compliant
files, but I found this message in the list:

http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.mencoder.user/6498/match=dvd+pass

which recommends to not do it. It's from August 2007 (a year ago).

Is this still true, or the bug has been fixed and it's now safe to use
two-pass encoding to create video DVDs?

Just a final note: since my intention is to add it to a front-end for
Mencoder for creating video DVDs, an answer like "I used it and it
worked" is useless, because I must be sure that it's always safe to use it.

Thanks in advance.
