Dear Giacomo,

Many thanks for clearing this up for me. As much as I love development, I
have now become a user and am not in a position to whip out a quick
MPlayer/MEncoder build (this is, after all, why I posted to the
mencoder-users list ;-)).

Can you point me to such a recent Windows build, or alternatively to an
authorative and current recipe for setting up an open-source Windows
development environment as well as building MPlayer?
