[MEncoder-users] XBOX 360 transcode

Joey,

The problem is that the 360 doesn't want to play the file. I think it may
have something to do with the settings for the conversion. This is taken off
of the xbox dev team's blog:

Xbox 360 supports the following for H.264:

·         File Extensions: .mp4, .m4v, mp4v, .mov

·         Containers: MPEG-4, QuickTime

·         Video Profiles: Baseline, main, and high (up to Level 4.1)
profiles.

·         Video Bitrate: 10 Mbps with resolutions of 1920 x 1080 at 30fps.
See question number 6 for more information.

·         Audio Profiles: 2 channel AAC low complexity (LC)
         Audio Max Bitrate: No restrictions.

Somehow this spits out an incompatible file:
mencoder esd-tkug-sample.avi -o sample.mp4 -oac faac -faacopts
br=128:mpeg=4:object=1 -ovc x264 -x264encopts threads=4:bitrate=1000

Any ideas?
