Sorry, that's not what I need and the NTSC frame rate I provided was wrong, it
should be 29.970 FPS... with -speed I can hear the changed pitch in the sound

Basically, I want to re-encode this 29.97 FPS file and output it to 25 FPS.
I used the following options

mencoder input.avi -vf filmdint=io=30:25/fast=0 -fps 30000/1001 -ofps
26000/1001 -ovc xvid -xvidencopts bitrate=1250 -oac mp3lame -lameopts
cbr:br=112 -o output.avi

However, every now and then I see the video stutter for a second. A/V sync is
OK, but it's this stuttering I can't get rid off. It can be very annoying in
low-motion scenes (high-motion ones are OK). So, my question is if the
filmdint filter is the right one for converting 29.97 -> 25 FPS and do I have
to use the softskip filter with it?
