[MEncoder-users] xvid-VfW Codec settings

Hi all,

i thinking about  a litte encoding application based on mencoder,  
which only does xvid-compression with fixed
encoding options. I found out that when i use the xvidvfw.dll instead  
of the build in xvid-codec the process is
a bit faster.

My understanding is that mencoder uses in this case the current  
setting of the xvid-vfw codec and that is also my problem.
Is it possible to check the current setting of the vfw-codec and when  
its necessary change it to my preferred settings?
Does anybody know in which file the codec settings are stored?
