Subject: Trancoding using Mencoder get video skipping
Hi there,

I am one of the developers on the Windows Media Center project
Transcode 360 which allows you to Transcode any video format file
using Mencoder in to a MPEG2 file for playback on the Xbox 360.

I have converted out application in to a Windows Vista version but our
user base are experiencing problems with skipping whilst using Windows
Vista, I have now rulled out the T360 code base as well as Media
Center as this issue still happens when just Transcoding a file
manually thorugh a command line, we have tried numerous versions of
Mencoder and the most stable is RC1 which skips but not as frequently
as any of the other versions tried.

Has anybody seen this on the Windows Vista platform? if so is there
any cure an example of what T360 has outputted with all flags is below

"C:\Program Files\Transcode360\Wrappers\MEncoderTranscoder\mencoder.exe"
-quiet -delay 0.2 -oac lavc -srate 48000 -af lavcresample=48000 -of
mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd -o
"C:\Users\Public\Videos\TranscodeBuffer\eureka.111.dsr.xvid.notv.360"
-ovc lavc -vf scale=624:354,expand=624:352,harddup -lavcopts
vcodec=mpeg2video:vrc_buf_size=1835:vrc_maxrate=9800:vbitrate=8000:keyint=15:aspect=16/9:acodec=mp2:abitrate=320
-ofps 24000/1001 "C:\Eureka\Eureka - 1x11 - H.O.U.S.E. Rules
(eureka.111.dsr.x\eureka.111.dsr.xvid.notv.avi"

If anybody has any ideas please can you let me know as I have now
spent hours trying to get this working with no success.

Thanks

James
