Hi all:

This isn't really a mplayer/mencoder question, but I'm not sure where
can I find this info.

I'm working with mencoder and home DVD players and want to try new
formats, but I need to be sure what of them are fully compatibles with
the formers. I worked with VCD and SVCD, but found a big leap between
them (due to screen resolution, mainly), so I want to know what of
theses formats are fully supported by commercial DVD players:

-VCD in MPEG2: this is, a classic VCD but using MPEG2 instead of
MPEG1, at 352x288 (or 352x240 for NTSC) in a classic CD.

-KVCD: this is, VBR-MPEG1 at 352x288 in a classic CD

-miniDVD: a full-featured DVD file system stored in a classic CD.

Thanks.
