[MEncoder-users] Cannot encode to mpeg2

Hello,
I tried the cvs version:

mencoder -oac lavc  -vc ffmpeg12,mpeg12 -oac lavc -ovc lavc -mpegopts 
format=dvd  source.mpg -o test.mpg    

dvdauthor -t -o test.dvd test.mpg

Now dvdauthor says very often: WARN: Skipping sector, waiting for first 
VOBU...

I assume that I need to remultiplex the file with mplex. Is that correct or 
can mencoder create mpeg streams with VOBU so that dvdauthor accepts them?
