Good idea. Doesn't work though :-) I have the following WMV-related
codec files:

wmv8ds32.ax
wmv9dmod.dll
wmvadvd.dll
wmvdmod.dll
wmvds32.ax

mencoder says:

"Selected video codec: [wmv8] vfm: dshow (Windows Media Video 8)"

and if I try to use any of the wmv9 decoders, I get

"Forced video codec: wmv9dmo
Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x32564D57."

Hm. :-)
