One more suggestion,

char *cookies; ///< holds newline (\n) delimited Set-Cookie header field values (without the "Set-Cookie: " field name)

So may be you can try starting the cookie string with “Set-Cookie:” instead of “Cookie:" and use '\n’ as the delimeter.

I don’t have the project on my machine so I can not test it sorry for that.
