I'm in the process of doing so, it seems to pass with the other
patches from James, but I haven't finished validating it.

I'd be interested in threading changes, if any.

But, while rewriting the DSP, we are adding changes. For instance, our
SAO band filter asm expects aligned data with enough padding to allow
using specific sizes.
