Great! Could you provide a patch for this?

Is it better to apply this patches and find a minimal support of 
Clip-wrapped MXF files or wait until somebody who interesting in VBR 
support will ever implement that feature?

In most cases real VBR content of Clip-Wrapped MXF files is 10-bit 
AVC_intra that is not decodeable by ffmpeg, so no need to wary about it...
