Hi
when i looked at the asm gcc generates for mp3float i noticed it converts
floats to doubles all over the place.
Adding -fsingle-precision-constant makes the code a whole 10% faster overall
on core2
what exactly does this option do? is this just affecting calculations
between float and constants or is it doing something silly to pure double
calculations too?
If it does nothing silly we could maybe enable it globally otherwise a
different solution would have to be found
