Compression is not constant in IFF-ANIM, I'm not 100% sure with masking
and transparency, too...

After all the hassle adding this to extradata, I'm thinking if we can
use a different way, which doesn't have to break backward
compatibility...any ideas?

You already mentioned AVPacket, what are the possibilities in adding
that stuff there?
