You might instead want to look at a VNC grabber that might be useful to 
more people. OSX has a builtin VNC server (or so Steevo claims, but it 
violates the RFB specs though).

Grabbing X11 in OSX would just grab X11 apps anyway, not the entire 
screen, I think.

Can't help you on OSX sorry, I barely bear it.
