Id definitly like to fully understand why its failing before saying ok to
it. That is if we can improve msvc support with it, that would be nice
but if its just your system/build environment being messed up then iam
of course against it ...

Also we would need to check if it makes the binaries larger on non windows
systems, it shouldnt as gcc should IMO remove the unneeded initialization.

Probably not, if it works without and there were a patch removing it id
approve it.
