Don't want to turn this thread into a rhetoric contest. But who do you 
call "we" ? Is it the FFMPEG devs that have SVN access ? FFMPEG devs who 
use the FFMPEG libraries ? FFMPEG users ? potential FFMPEG devs that 
would like to work with something better than this perfect solution you 
like ?
