GitHub situation Forgive if this is off topic. For those who dont know me, I maintain the official Windows builds for RtmpDump. I also host the RtmpDump mirror on GitHub, svnpenn/rtmpdump. I am also a senior member on the stream-recorder forum, with hundreds of posts logged. Xeebo <xeebosoft@ukr.net> has filed DMCA notice and the GitHub repo is now down for 10 days. I made a thread on stream-recorder about this situation. My account on stream-recorder was banned and my thread removed, with no explanation by PM or email. I sorta knew this would happen eventually, this community seems to be very hostile to one another, which is ironic considering that the whole point was to open up a very closed protocol from another hostile company. Not that I know much of the difference between the patched and regular rtmpdump, but is the repository lost permanently? At least RTMP as a protocol is starting to lose favour with newer better alternatives available now.

in general, most websites do not delete upon dmca notice, thats the whole point of the counter notice, to ensure people arent deleted willy nilly. -compn

strange, I didn't know he worked for Adobe - Or he did on their behalf? Surely he not claiming any ownership of Adobe's code! Best regards Jools
I read his notice now on github. So he is actually using the "contains code from adobe" excuse as well as saying he is the author, yet he ripped it off himself, and released it into the wild. I'm quite happy for this code to disappear, but I don't understand his position at all. Best Regards Jools
