Reading AMF Response From Non-Standard Request
Is it possible to retrieve the AMF response from librtmp when the CDN FMS returns a 403 response code? My CDN FMS returns a nonce in the AMF response which I need to retrieve to make a secondary request. You can find more detail on what I am trying to do, here: http://stream-recorder.com/forum/streaming-cdn-t7052.html. Thanks, Nick

Sounds like you need this patch. I haven't tested it myself, can you give it a try?
Howard, Yes, I am trying to authenticate against my publishing server. However, this patch only works when authmod=adobe. For my CDN, authmod!=adobe, the query parameters are named differently, and the response string is calculated differently. The code would need to be changed to support multiple authentication modes. How do you suggest we go about this? On Fri, Jul 16, 2010 at 5:27 PM, Howard Chu <hyc@highlandsun.com> wrote:

You may add another routine to PublisherAuth() function, that may authenticate by another (custom) mode.

I have a patch that should work with my CDN. What are my easiest options for testing file streaming to a FMS server using RTMPdump? Is there a command line I can run? Thanks, Nick Padgett

There is no rtmpdump command line for publishing. However, you can publish using ffmpeg.
