Hello, We are trying to integrate libRTMP in our solution. There seem to be a support for the MP4 in the RTMP spec ; also the doc of libRTMP mentions that streams could start with "mp4:...". However, it doesn't seem to work if it's not FLV. My question therefore is : is it possible or not to stream MP4 with libRTMP as is ? Thanks a lot, Best regards Milan Kovac

No. The reason you must supply "mp4:" in the stream name is to tell the RTMP server that it needs to reformat the data before sending it. All data must be in FLV format.
Hello, Thank you for the "mp4:" related info. RTMP actually seems to support f4v which is related to MP4. Also, some server/player providers mention RTMP supports MP4 (example : http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/jw-player/28854/using-rtmp-streaming/) . I'm not an expert, trying to find info here and there, but it's not clear at all on the web what is supported exactly by RTMP. Does libRTMP support f4v ?
