Hello RTMPDump Developers, Firstyle, thank you for RTMPDump's developing. There is strange issue. I use together Rtmmdump with RTMPHelper. My Os: Win2003 URL: http://tvarsivi.com/kim-milyoner-olmak-ister-25-12-2011-izle-e_33733.html RTMPHelper can detect URL strings: rtmpdump -r "rtmp://s1.tvarsivi.com/video" -a "video" -f "WIN 11,6,602,168" -W "http://tvarsivi.com/flowplayer-3.2.5.swf" -p "http://tvarsivi.com/kim-milyoner-olmak-ister-25-12-2011-izle-e_33733.html" -y "33733.flv" -o 33733.flv But error: "RTMP_ReadPacket, failed to read RTMP packet header" Besides it's prevent to video playing. No important. I tried Rtmpsuck.exe but it's cannot detect any strings. For now... strange part: I guessed rtmp URL of the webpage: "rtmp://s1.tvarsivi.com/video/33733.flv" And... I ran from cmd: rtmpdump -r "rtmp://s1.tvarsivi.com/video/33733.flv" -o "e:\33733.flv" Bingo! No need secure and other settings. :) Is it possible any fix for RTMPsrv? Best regards...

rtmpdump buffering problems? and possible patch
by Jon Davies 09 Feb '13

09 Feb '13

over on the get-iplayer mailing list we have some users who reported errors downloading programmes with rtmpdump, e.g. this thread on "Stream corrupt error and then rtmpdump goes nuts!" http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/get_iplayer/2012-December/003687.html it seems that on fast broadband connections (typically fibre connections at or approaching 80Mbps) the buffers in rtmpdump (and probably the OS too) get overwhelmed and it all falls apart. We ended up with the patch below as a workaround, which just makes the buffers bigger, but I concede I don't really understand rtmpdump enough (like not at all really, I just use it ;-) to know whether it's really a solution to the problem or just a workaround. So I offer this with all the caveats you might be able to think of, but it works for me (and several get-iplayer users). I'm happy to put you in touch with people who suffer from this particular problem if that helps. RTMPGW and FFMPEG
by Dan Turner 02 Feb '13

02 Feb '13

Hi All, I am trying to use RTMPGW for a project and have a question regarding connection. When I connect to RTMPGW with an HTTP GET request using VLC or MPlayer like so: mplayer "http://localhost:8902/?r=rtmp://live.dtv.cubecdn.net:80/kdmobil/KanalD1&W=h…" ...with RTMPGW set as so: rtmpgw --sport 8902 ...it works a treat, and RTMPGW's terminal output is: Streaming on http://0.0.0.0:8902 Connecting ... port: 80, app: kdmobil/KanalD1 388.507 KB / 48853.38 sec Lovely! However, when I try to do the same thing with ffmpeg/ffplay like this: ffplay -i "http://localhost:8902/?r=rtmp://live.dtv.cubecdn.net:80/kdmobil/KanalD1&W=h…" I just get "HTTP error 416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable" from ffplay and "processTCPrequest, Range request not supported" from RTMPGW. Do you have any idea why ffmpeg won't connect, but VLC and mplayer will? Thanks for any help Dan
