Hi all, given a Url as rtmp://streaming.orgatech.de/live/&file=oeins.flv&hl=defs=1&frontcolor=008B85 On Windows I tried to download it using rtmpdump -r rtmp://streaming.orgatech.de/live/ -s http://www.oeins.de/embed/player.swf -o test.flv -C NS:file:oeins.flv -C NS:hl:de -C NS:frontcolor:008B85 geting RTMPDump v2.3 (c) 2010 Andrej Stepanchuk, Howard Chu, The Flvstreamer Team; license: GPL ERROR: Invalid AMF parameter: NS:file:oeins.flv It seems that I made some wrong assumptions. Do someone know how to do it right?? By the way the webpage from which I get the URL is http://www.oeins.de/lokalsender/webtv.html Any help will be appreciated! rtmpdump reporting wrong video duration
by orokara 30 Sep '10

I'm working on a plugin for XBMC to view content from VBS.tv and have noticed that both libRTMP and rtmpdump are stopping the download after a few seconds, regardless of swf verification. Looking at the logs, rtmpdump is reporting the wrong duration of the video. Below is verbose output along with two streams from the site to try (one that works properly and another that doesn't) Not working (wrong duration): rtmp:// cp79855.edgefcs.net/ondemand/mp4:s/htajlnOnOKcUIcrlJuJrvNCnvPzIJ2qH/DOcJ-Fx… Working (right duration): rtmp:// cp79855.edgefcs.net/ondemand/mp4:s/lobXdoMTrk0eUK3GR2saYRtbSR4MUQxJ/DOcJ-Fx… Verbose output: -- RTMPDump v2.2e (c) 2010 Andrej Stepanchuk, Howard Chu, The Flvstreamer Team; license: GPL DEBUG: Parsing... Akamai patch
by Andrew 26 Sep '10

26 Sep '10

Hi, I've been looking for a way to send audio content to Akamai in a Unix environment. I recently came across this post on the mailing list: http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/5hTZasm8hR0MiJThsTjt I was able to successfully connect to Akamai using this command: ffmpeg -loglevel debug -i audiofile.wav -acodec libmp3lame -f flv 'rtmp://xxxx.akamaientrypoint.net/EntryPoint conn=S:encoder:1.1.12:USERID live=true akUserid=USERID akPass=PASSWORD playpath=poc_x_x@xxxxx' It connects and shows the following: HandleInvoke, onStatus: NetStream.Publish.Start Then it appears to stream, however when I go to the Akamai test player (http://mediapm.edgesuite.net/edgeflash/public/debug/HDPlayer.html) there is no content. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else had success with this patch? Andrew

[PATCH] AMF Callback
by Chris Larsen 22 Sep '10

22 Sep '10

Hi all, here's an important patch that may be useful for a lot of people. It's a simple little callback for AMF objects so that your app can process any AMF codes returned from the server. If you don't use the callback, nothing happens. I use it to parse NetStream status events and such. Let me know what ya'll think, thanks. I have tried a few different combinations with no success. I have pasted the debug log here: http://pastie.org/1170803 Thank you! -Gus

mix live streams
by E-Blokos 08 Sep '10

08 Sep '10

Hi, not sure it's a rtmpdump question. Case : 2 client publish a stream to the RTMP server with onlly audio in speex (or audio and black screen video) on the server I would like to read these two live streams and output it as a listener that create automatically one new RTMP stream with the two audio stream (like a mixtable stereo output). Is it technically possible ? Thanks much Franck
