I didn´t know. I moved from windows to linux 3 months ago and I am finding a lot of things I was unaware of, via these mail lists. Thank you all. So my next question is, perhaps, a naive one, is there any driver that supports all the features?

A popular feature is MPEG2 decoding on the video card, which is not supported on any cards with the GATOS driver.

But current cards support it, didn´t they? Does not exist any driver for this?

If you are really interested, you can look at gatos.sf.net, >specifically complaints on the mailing list, and find many things that just don't work with GATOS.
