Hi, I'm trying to encode various different file formats to mpg or avi, but I'm unable to succeed. The resulting AVI seems to be broken. I try to use commansd like the following: mencoder -oac copy -ovc copy -ni rtsp://streams3.omroep.nl/tv/vpro/tegenlicht/bb.20031109.rm mencoder -o test.avi -ovc copy -oac copy mms://195.121.244.220/TKStream3 mencoder -oac copy -ovc copy Gezondheidsplein\ \(NEDERLAND\ 1\,\ 17\ 35\,\ dinsdag\ 22\ oktober\ 2002\).asf I don't know much about video encoding or playing, so I can't describe what it's called what I see, I see various blocks in the video which seem not to be updated. During encoding I get errors like: Too many video packets in the buffer: (3648 in 8390104 bytes). Maybe you are playing a non-interleaved stream/file or the codec failed? For AVI files, try to force non-interleaved mode with the -ni option. Pos: 251.6s 6987f ( 0%) 15fps Trem: 0min 0mb A-V:0.064 [475:352] ...although I do use -ni. I also get: 1 duplicate frame(s)! Pos: 233.0s 5814f (99%) 152fps Trem: 0min 4mb A-V:0.019 [113:31] 1 duplicate frame(s)! Pos: 233.4s 5824f (99%) 152fps Trem: 0min 4mb A-V:0.023 [113:32] I can't find anything in the documentation about this, but since I have little knowledge about the subject, it may be that I'm not looking well. I have looked at: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/HTML/en/faq.html#faq-encoding http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/HTML/en/mencoder.html http://www.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-users/ (the mailing list archive seems to be broken, by the way, so I was unable to look at it. I'm sorry if this is a FAQ which isn't listed in the FAQs) I would be grateful if someone could either explain me the problem or point me to a place where the problem is explained. yours, Gerrit.
