Installing the latest libavcodec from ffmpeg results in 'memalign' being undefined:

And it is not MPlayer's problem. The problem is that ffmpeg is inconsistent in its use of HAVE_MEMALIGN. I have sent a suggested patch to the ffmpeg-devel list for their consideration. Sorry for the interruption. Steven Schultz
