Why couldn't a cpu rescale to 320x240 ? The destination dimensions is what matters the most when rescaling (with nearest negihbor I mean, others I don't know). Or care to explain?

With nearest neighbor, it wouldn't be *too* slow, but would look totally horrible. Anyway with a good scaler, source and dest size are about equally important to speed. Rich
