-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi I would like to find a way to record from v4l devices into files which should be served with a normal http server and which should work (video/audio play) on Windows clients (WMP). I found that if serving files in ASF format this can be achieved. However it seems that mencoder cannot output to ASF format ? I have then used ffmpeg which does seem to know to encode to ASF and the encoded streams show fine with WMP the only problem remains the sounds, seems that WMP doesnt like mp2/3 audio stream into ASF files (but it doesnt complain about them in AVI files). Is there any audio codec for ffmpeg that WMP likes in ASF ? So is there any solution using linux based software (preferably open-source) to record from v4l device and serve it with a normal http server for WMP clients ?
