i know that but the problem is that if i try to play a mp3 or a avi file that is not ac3 encoded it give's me an error. so i must uncomment that line and if i want to watch a movie with ac3 i must put that line in again. understand ? i want something tha will fallback to normal decoding if the file is not ac3.

Please keep mplayer mail on the list, and read what I wrote. The comma there is all-important! It should work with the line I gave you. Rich
