Hi everybody, trying to include DVD-subtitles into a divx4avi file doesn't work for me. Playing them does. I considered writing about how "mencoder ... -sid ..." doesn't do what it should before I read someone elses mail about the same problem, and the answer was: RTFM. Well actually, I did (or at least thought I did). E.g. DOCS/faq.html says:

5.6. Encoding ... Q: I can't encode DVD subtitles into the AVI ! A: You have to specify the -sid option correctly!

So obviously (and not only for me obviously) it could/should work like "mencoder ... -sid ..." , even if the manpage does not mention an -sid option. If that is not correct, please, someone, do yourselves a favour and update the FAQ. Still, my question remains: Is there/will there be the possibility to include/burn the subtitles in to the avi? It would be a very nice feat to enhance the already wonderful m* suite :-) Bye, Andy
