Value of desync is not growing with time: it is the same until I quit (at least for hours). But in most cases there is no a/v desync: If I dont see desync at start of mplayer, there would be no desync until I quit.

Same to me... on a hauppauge (bt 878), asus gForce2, audigy, some days old cvs of mplayer... try manual a/v sync.
