G'day, Hi there. If I use the following command line I seem to get the best image quality on my machine: mplayer -vo xv -ao sdl -framedrop -double -fs movie.vob I get an image that instead of being fullscrean is shifted down and to the right and you can still see the desktop in the space not covered by the movie. This is on a stock mandrake 8.1 box ( yeah yeah.. I know.. but you try to stuff updates over a 34Kbps satellite channel from hell ). 2.4.8-26mdk is the kernel libc-2.2.4 XFree 4.1.0 gcc 3.0.3 ld 2.11.90.0.8 as 2.11.90.0.8 Intel Pentium III Mobile CPU 1000MHz Nvidia GeoForce 2 GO ( 32 MB ) Maestro 3-i ESS 1983S ( It's an inspiron 8100 ) The strange thing is that if you toggle the fullscreen mode twice ( hit 'f' twice ) it comes back to a sensible full screen mode. Oh yeah, the nvidia module I'm using is 1.0.2802 and it's the closed source driver. Matt Newcomb Amundsen Scott South Pole Station Antarctica
