Well, not all subtitle problems can be solved by guessing simple shifts. In some cases, you _have_ to work with something interactive and see results on the fly. Also, sometimes subtitles need to be written based on existing hard-coded ones (e.g. you want their translation). How can you do this without good tools? If you can do this by running mplayer in one window and text editor in other and think this is comfortable way, I congratulate you ;) -- Vladimir
