Yeah, doing 600x350 alone is probably unwise, but on a machine that plays only divx/xvid/svcd i find the following works very well: fs=yes vop=expand=640:480,scale=640:-3,pp=hb:128:20:a/vb:128:20:a/dr:a/al:a/lb:a first applies postprocessing, than scales to 640x* preserving proper AR, then expands to 640x480 so I can layer on subtitles if they exist (also done automagically).. the fs=yes is so svcds (which usually scale to like, 640x1024, appear ok) -ed -- "Success covers a multitude of blunders." -- George Bernard Shaw
